Daryle William Frye

Daryle William Frye of Tullahoma, Tennessee passed from this life on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at his residence in Tullahoma at the age of 64 years. A native of Chicago, Illinois, he is the son of the late Glendell Wayne Frye (Linda) and Anne Millard Petreust. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Samantha Frye, stepsister, Jan Lange, Uncles, Raleigh “Tinker” Frye, Jimmie Frye, and Mike Frye as well as several aunts and uncles. A Memorial service will be held on September 5, 2026, at 89 Beech Hill Drive in Winchester, Tennessee at 2:00 PM with Keita Martin officiating. Come share your memories with us. Daryle was a hardworking and talented man who could fix, build and create just about anything with his own two hands. A mechanic by trade, he proudly owned and operated Frye’s Auto where his knowledge, determination and love of working on cars was evident in everything he did. His passion for working with his hands eventually led him to carpentry and craft where he found great pride and satisfaction. Daryle had a lifelong love for NASCAR and racing. In his younger years, he enjoyed getting behind the wheel and racing at local tracks, creating memories that reflected his adventurous spirit and love of cars. When he wasn’t working or enjoying his passion for racing, you could often find him doing what he loved most, grilling and enjoying good food and great friends and family. His survivors include his significant other of 25 years, Becky Dye of Tullahoma, Tennessee, daughter, Amanda Frye and Jack Roy of West Virginia, grandchildren, Liberty Thelen (Zackary Callaway), Cole Weese (Jules Crites), River Weese all of West Virginia. Sisters, Kim (Leon) Tardie of Arizonia, Roxanne (Frank) KieIpikowski of Indiana, and Dianne Petreust of Kentucky. Also many nieces and nephews. Daryle is also survived by his adoptive parents Momma Dean and the late Sonnie Simmons, special cousin, Chloe Frye, stepdad, Tony Petreust, uncles, Billy Frye, Joe Barcikowski (the late Marsha Barcikowski), stepson, Jimmy (Crystal) McCreary, special friends, Chaine Speakman, Roy (Cindy) Lofton, Diane Bryson, Larry (Ro) Rollins, Wayne “Yank” West, Danny “Gypsy” (Wilma) Tobin, cousin David Green, Jack (Jan) Nolan, Al Unser, Kevin Cox, Don Stephens, and last but not least, his furry little friends, Trudo and Lillie.
